What is body contouring?
Weight loss techniques — diet and exercise — can only reduce the amount of fat held in your pre-existing fat cells, which is why you may need some extra help to remove lingering areas of fat. Dr. Richardson offers two FDA-cleared body contouring services. CoolSculpting® is based on the scientific process of Cryolipolysis®, which destroys fat cells by freezing them. This is a very localized process that reduces fat deposits without damaging the overlying skin.

Nonsurgical body contouring treatments work best on small, targeted areas of fat. Dr. Richardson has achieved good fat reduction results on:

What do the treatments involve?
A CoolSculpting® treatment typically lasts two to three hours, during which you can sit back and relax. You can read, check email, listen to music or even take a nap. Dr. Richardson applies a gel pad to the targeted area, followed by the CoolSculpting® applicator designed for that particular part of the body.
This nonsurgical body contouring treatments does not involve down time. In fact, many patients opt for lunchtime sessions and can return to work immediately.
