NaturaMD Shade:

This is an antioxidant facial sunscreen that contains titanium, zinc oxides, and iron oxides in an elegant vehicle that leaves a soft matte finish. Help decrease the signs of sun damage with NaturaMD’s Shade. It helps protect your skin from both UVA and UVB rays and its green tea anti-oxidant ingredients help make the emollient vehicle more tolerable. With an SPF of 30, Shade is a great choice for daily protection.

Iron oxides: provides protection against visible light which has now been linked to aging.

Titanium dioxide 10%: Inert earth mineral used as a sunscreen ingredient in cosmetics. It protects skin from UVA and UVB radiation and is considered to have no risk of skin sensitivity. Because of its gentleness, titanium dioxide is an excellent sunscreen active for use on sensitive, redness-prone skin. It’s also great for use around the eyes, as it is highly unlikely to cause stinging. Titanium dioxide as used in sunscreens is commonly modified with other ingredients to ensure efficacy and stability. Examples of what are known as surface modifier ingredients used for titanium dioxide include stearic acid, isostearic acid, polyhydroxystearic acid, and dimethicone/methicone copolymer.

Zinc oxide: When used in sunscreen products, ZnO acts as a physical block to the sun's ultraviolet (UV) radiation, helping to reduce or prevent sunburn and premature aging of the skin. Zinc oxide is the broadest spectrum UVA and UVB reflector approved for use as a sunscreen by the FDA. When used as an ingredient in sunscreen, zinc oxide screens both UVA) (320–400 nm) and UVB.) (280–320 nm) rays of ultraviolet light.
